A bit about me...
I am based in Rudgwick, West Sussex and developed (no pun intended) my passion for photography when I was knee high to the proverbial and have been taking photos ever since.
I am naturally approachable, open and trusting and can be relied upon to take great care with your photographs – they mean as much to me as they do to you. I have a natural rapport with people which empowers them to relax and show their true selves.
The result allows me to capture individual images that reflect the character and personality with honesty, creativity, sensitivity and patience.
I cover the West Sussex and Surrey areas, such as Cranleigh, Horsham, Crawley, Guildford, Woking, Weybridge and all the towns in between. I can offer families, schools, children's clubs and nurseries formalised portraiture or a more informal and relaxed session while the children are at play or taking part in activities.
I have both a mobile studio and a conventional studio in Rudgwick, West Sussex. The mobile studio is used mainly for visiting nurseries for their annual photographs, but I also use it to visit clients who can’t get out to the studio for whatever reason.
My studio is a newly converted building and is equipped with all the necessary equipment to produce excellent, high quality portraits – and an excellent cup of coffee.
Portraits
A visit to the studio is a relaxed affair and we’ll spend time getting to know each other first before the camera comes out of the bag. This is especially important when photographing children as they’re often nervous when they visit new places let alone having a camera pointed at them. With young children, I encouraged the parents to bring along favourite toys or music to ease any initial nerves they might have.
During the shoot the amount of photographs I’ll take varies depending on the number of groups and combinations you want – you may want grandma and granddad in a group shot, the children together on their own and then individual child shots for example.
After your shoot it will take a couple of days to edit and process the images and when they’re done, I’ll give you a call and make an appointment for you to come back to the studio for a viewing. I can also put your favourite images onto my website and provide you with a private password if you’d like to show family around the world, or even up North! The studio is ideal for personal portraits, families, babies and toddlers.
Events
I cover events such as football groups where I’ll take along my mobile studio and do individual shots of the children, and also events such as stage schools in full costume who want both individual and group shots.
These final images are viewed on the website and accessed by a secure password and the images can be ordered online.
Children’s parties are also covered. I’ll gather email addresses at the event and make contact the parents when the images are ready to be viewed online where they can also place any orders for delivery direct to their home.
Pre-schools and Nurseries
I visit many local, and some not so local, nurseries to photograph groups of up to 70 children in one day. It takes around 15 minutes to set up my mobile studio and this is done with the least amount of disruption to the teachers and children.
Ideally a separate room would be used, but I’ve managed to squeeze the studio into a very tight corner of a one roomed nursery without interrupting the everyday activities.
Within a week of the shoot the nurseries have 4 pose proof cards to hand out to the parents. These proof cards offer parents a wider choice and excellent value for money.
Parents love the photos which are on a contemporary white background and I produce excellent high street quality images at an affordable cost. As well as conventional prints, canvases, CDs, acrylics, key rings or even t-shirts of their favourite image are available.
I am fully Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) checked.
Pets
Animals can be a handful, so with pet photography I visit you in your own home or your local park and produce excellent images which reflect the personality of your pet.

Working with an excellent hair and make up artist, Lucy Gabriel (www.lucygabriel.co.uk) we make a shoot into something extra special. Lucy will do your make up and professionally style your hair for the ultimate photographic shoot to remember.
